I just watched “Karate Kid” with my sis. At first, I wasn’t sure that this movie is a good one, in fact it was AWESOME! It turned my emotion upside down. Jaden Smith screen presence is awesome, Jackie who act as Jaden’s teacher is really amazing. But it’s not a karate actually, it’s a kung fu. Overall, the story line has valuable life lessons, the scenery is fantastic, the soundtracks are cool, well, it’s one of the greatest movies I watched recently😀
Here is the synopsis :
12-year-old Dre Parker could’ve been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother’s latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying – and the feeling is mutual – but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre’s feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts “the karate kid” on the floor with ease. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life. Written by Columbia Pictures.
Vness says :
This movie share some life lessons. When Dre asked Mr.Han to teach him Kung Fu, Mr Han agreed to teach him if only if Dre give a good reason. Mr Han said that Kung Fu is not for kick someone’s ass, it’s to make peace. It is actually tells us that your talent, your ability, isn’t for show-off.
Mr Han always emphasizing his lessons with strength and calmness. He often said “be strong” and “focus”. I strongly agree with this. Behind every modesty and focused person, there’s a strength lay inside that person.
“Life will knock you down, it’s your choice whether to get back up or not”
Life will always try to knock us down, pals, so it’s your choice to get up and face it or give up and lose it🙂
FOCUS. AND. BE STRONG.
